Decorative Lamps

I have developed roughly four different sized lamp designs to offer.
A mini novelty size 3x3x6 that is lit by an LED tea light.
Next a small size under 6x6x12 inches tall, a medium size at 6x6x 14 inches tall, and finally a tall, slender size that is roughly 5 inches wide and 16 inches tall.
All of these lamps are made from reclaimed wood, mostly Japanese cedar (sugi) and red alder (local to the pacific northwest).
The decorative panels are either traditional hand cut kumiko design using yellow cedar strips, laser cut cedar, paulownia or alder, or for the more intricate designs, laser cut paper backed verneer.
I use mostly traditional white mullberry paper, or the occasional unusually coloured Japanese washi paper.
One exception to the paper designs that I am most proud of is the paper backed verneer lamps that use thin heat treated bent maple strips in the design motif. These lamps do not give off a lot of light, except out of the opening on the top, but the light shining through the wood verneer in combination with the washi I glue to the verneer, gives off a very warm, almost campfire light effect. These are the most soothing lamps in my opinion.
I hope you find something that appeals to your sense of calm, which is my main motivation in creating these lamps.
